Sometimes I think that I should just stick to what works and stop trying a bunch of products....but I still keep trying new things.
One of things that used to work really well for me was the Jamaican Black Castor Oil. This was (and may still be) my go to product. I loved this product for a few reasons, the main one being that it was said to help your hair grow. But what I found was that it made my scalp feel great. I could go a little longer between shampoos without my scalp itching really bad. But, I'm not sure what happened. It just does not seem to work like that anymore.
I am not sure if its because my locks are getting longer or some other reason. I have tried to go back to my earlier regimen of applying the JBCO to my scalp a couple times a week. But it has not helped with the itching...
I asked on the Black Girls Lock Facebook page and got some advice on what to do. Using oils seemed to be the most popular suggestion.
Today I went to the beauty supply store and saw this No More Itch Grow Spray and thought I would give it a try. This says it will help eliminate itching and also help your hair grow longer faster....hmmm??
Of course, I expect immediate relief, however, I used it tonight and I am already wanting to wash it out...:-/
I may just need to give it more time. But, my scalp seems really sensitive. I have to be careful about what I use. I waste a lot of money getting products and then have to leave them alone because they don't work well with my scalp or hair.
Have you used this product? If so, how did it work for you?
Update:
I have been using this product about once a day since I first wrote this post. Instead of using it in the spray bottle I put it in my color applicator bottle so I could get it directly on my scalp easier. This seems to work well for me. Its crazy but when its first wet, it itches a little, but after it settles in my scalp it feels really good and has relieved the itching.
I may try the medicated next just to feel more of a tingle.
I have heard some say they no longer use this product because of the possibility of build up. I don't know, I'm finding that every product has some who are for it and some who are against it. You have to use what you feel is best.

If you use that brand, buy the sproil (green spray). The itching will stop.
Thank you Lady Q. I went to the store to get the "sproil" and came out with this ...I guess because it said no more itch...it has actually helped.
