Just a Note...

As I write on this blog I use the word Lock, Dreadlock and Locs interchangeably and in no certain order. All mean the same for me. Some do not like the term "dreadlock" because it indicates that there is something to be dreaded...and our hair is not that so I don't use this word as much.

However, a lot of people call locks dreadlocks. I am not offended by either way. I love my locks and do not feel negative about them. If this term offends you, I am sorry. I hope that you will still feel comfortable on this site.

About Me

Hi, my name is Dietta. I started growing my locks in November of 2013. When I first began I had a lot of questions. Through reading, watching youtube and participating in on-line groups I learned the basics and realized that almost every day someone is starting their lock journey and has the same questions that I did.

It is my hope to share the things that I have learned and what I continue to learn through this blog. And to hopefully encourage you if you need it, to stay on this journey. Also, I want to connect with you if you have been on this journey longer than me and draw from your wisdom.
