Just a Note...

As I write on this blog I use the word Lock, Dreadlock and Locs interchangeably and in no certain order. All mean the same for me. Some do not like the term "dreadlock" because it indicates that there is something to be dreaded...and our hair is not that so I don't use this word as much.

However, a lot of people call locks dreadlocks. I am not offended by either way. I love my locks and do not feel negative about them. If this term offends you, I am sorry. I hope that you will still feel comfortable on this site.

Daily Moisturizing Spray Recipe for Locks

Here are the products I mix together to make a daily moisturizing spray for my locks. I just made a new batch on Saturday. I mixed the entire bottle of the Bronner Brothers Oil Moisturizer in with the Africa's Best Braid Sheen Spray.  I only had about 1/4 cup of Rosewater left so that's all I added. That was plenty.

I have tried to use the Braid Sheen Spray by itself but it just doesn't seem like enough.  And I know that a lot of people put water and oil in their spray bottle to moisturize their hair daily. I tried that but, as we all know, oil and water don't mix so I always felt like I wasn't getting the benefit of the oil when I did that. With this method all of the items mix together and create a nice moisturizing spray.  The rosewater makes it smell good as well.

Here's how I mix it:

I use a small comb to stir the products together. It works like a whisk and helps to blend the ingredients. I stopped using this spray for a month or two to try a different product.  I have come back to it because I feel it works best for my hair.
